I'm ushering in the new year with a blast from the past; "Watch the Birdie" by Anita O'Day, accompanied by a sensational film of 1940's Chicago with footage shot by a kindred spirit of mine who also loved streetcars and billboards.

Fantastic. Watching CTA buses lumbering around, I've come to realize that they're really not compatible with the city's streets. Bring back the streetcars.
