Wolf Point from the 5:50 Metra North Line out of Ogilvie Transportation Center, Friday, February 27, 2008.
The confluence of the north and south branches of the Chicago River, this is the place where Chicago began. Today it's a wonderful place to stand and watch life go by, especially during rush hour when you can watch a continuous stream of Metra and Amtrak trains leaving and arriving at the OTC and Union Station, Green, Brown and Purple Line L trains crossing over the river, and weather permitting, boats motoring up and down the river.
Not to mention a terrific view of the skyline.
